Following several years of ageing in Graham's 1890 lodge, the 2014 LBV is ready to drink and pairs perfectly with assorted cheese and dark chocolate.
For over a century, Graham's has made some of the finest Ports of the Douro Valley, sourcing grapes from it's five mountain vineyards located across the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior subregions. Manuel Rocha, fourth generation taster and blender, worked closely with Charles Symington, head winemaker, to assess the finest wines made in 2014, a year characterized by a relatively cool summer, which brought out the best in the Touriga Nacional and Sousao. They chose these as the two principal component varieties of this wine; the floral aromas of rock rose and compact black fruit flavours of the Touriga Nacional are perfectly balanced by the freshness and spice contributed by the Sousao.
